I absolutely love Sam Cooke
I was a fan of your uncle before his death, and am a big one now. I’m wondering if any multimedia projects about him are on the horizon.
X Dell –
I actually don’t know however there are a number of videos of him on youtube. Try contacting Erik Greene at: firstname.lastname@example.org and he might be able to point you in the right direction.
ps Erik is Sam’s nephew ( I am just a fan and the painter of his portrait)
I’m Erik Greene, the nephew of Sam Cooke and the author of “Our Uncle Sam: The Sam Cooke Story From His Family’s Perspective.” While still in the writing process, I asked a friend, a talented artist in his own right, to paint a portrait of my uncle for my back cover. His response was “I could do it, but I know someone who could do it better” and he introduced me to Maya. Started while she was in Spain and finished here in the U.S., she used sixteen different angles of Sam to paint her untitled portrait and the result exceeded my every expection. Maya Escobar is a truly amazing talent.
