While still in the writing process, I asked a friend, a talented artist in his own right, to paint a portrait of my uncle for my back cover. His response was "I could do it, but I know someone who could do it better" and he introduced me to Maya. Started while she was in Spain and finished here in the U.S., she used sixteen different angles of Sam to paint her untitled portrait and the result exceeded my every expection. Maya Escobar is a truly amazing talent.
